- I got similar results, iff I hadn't already loaded my Winsock TCP manager
- (I'm using Trumpet Winsock a17). All I needed to do was quit out of the
- program and fire it up again, or initially run the TCP manager first,
- then run qws3270.

- I have the same setup, and for me ws_ftp always fails on the first try.
- If I try again (to the same host) it works ok.

- Do other WinSock apps (like qvt/net) work with nameserver lookups?
- If not, you may need to check the configuration of the tcp/ip transport.
- It is in control panel->networks->adapters->protocols
